Cunard and the National Symphony

Cunard announces a new partnership with the National Symphony Orchestra, an artistic affiliate of Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center.

A highlight of the alliance is the organization’s upcoming debut aboard Queen Mary 2 in connection with the Cunard Insights program. Six Kennedy Center Chamber Players and Nigel Boon, National Symphony Orchestra director of artistic planning, will give performances and lectures on the ship’s Sept. 8, 2009 eastbound Atlantic crossing.
